Yesterday, I sent out a bulk email to all members of the class (a week before the first lecture) with the course syllabus attached. Today I received an email from one student, so I know the system is working. I am curious, though, about how many students actually received and looked at the syllabus in advance of class. I guess I'll do a quick poll next week to find out.
