Law in the Information Society

One of the things I am thinking about is whether I would be better off just encouraging students to use newsgroups as a means of organizing and sharing their insigts on the topics that we are dealing with. I suspect, from the students viewpoint, that blogging will seem more au courant, and may in fact be easier for those not particularly technically adept. On the other hand, the University offers newgroup type services specifically related to the course, and hence semi-private in nature. Blogs, on the other hands, are not available on the University's servers, and hence students would have to make use of a publicly available service, which is not private (unless we paid a special fee to keep them private). This all requires some careful evaluation of options.
